Please note that Posh Eyes can only fit authentic Ray-Ban Prescription lenses to new Ray-Ban frames purchased from Posh Eyes at the same time. Prescription lenses from other leading brand manufacturers, including Zeiss and Essilor, are available without the need to purchase a Ray-Ban frame at the same time. Please see HERE

What is Reading Glasses?

Single vision glasses for reading (near) use.

What is Both (Varifocal Lenses)?

Glasses with distance prescription at top of lenses and reading (near) at bottom. Centre of lenses are for intermediate vision (e.g. computer work). Unlike bifocal glasses, varifocals have no line across the lenses so look like single vision glasses.

Our standard thickness lenses (refractive index 1.5) are made of a plastic known as CR39 and come with a scratch-resistant coating as standard. Not suitable for rimless.

Our thinner lenses (1.60 refractive index) are tougher plastic lenses with an anti-reflection coating as standard.

1.67 index lenses are made of high density plastic and come with an anti-reflection coating as standard.

What is Ultra Thin (1.74 index)?

Ultra thin lenses are made of the highest density plastic and come with the Crizal Sapphire HR enhanced anti-reflection coating as standard. This coating comes with a 2 year no-scratch guarantee.

Please ask your optician to measure this for you, as it is frequently omitted from prescriptions. If you have two PD measurements, one for each eye (known as Mono PDs) rather than a single combined PD measurement please select these here.
